2018 Season - Power UP

Donation protected
Support Kitchener-Waterloo youth in creating a long-lasting passion for science, technology, engineering, and math.

We are a community robotics team that competes every year in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC).  As a community team, our mandate is to provide a fun and welcoming environment to everyone, regardless of race, religion, gender, or background.

Being a part of a robotics team is an amazing experience, but we can't do it without you. By contributing, we have more opportunities with what we can build, learn, and succeed towards reaching our goals. You can help increase our potential with your donation for the team, and by doing so, you help to provide a fun, welcoming, learning environment within our community.

About us:

We are the 2702 Rebels - an FRC (First Robotics Competition) team of Grade 9-12 students from high schools across Kitchener-Waterloo.

We are passionate about exploring technology by building complex and engaging robots. Every year we spend four intense months designing and assembling a robot to compete with other FRC teams in a challenging game that differs every year - from tossing frisbees, throwing balls, picking up gears from the ground, or pulling the robot up a rope.

For the remainder of the year, we hone our programming, mechanical, and electronic skills, build our business team and use our robot to inspire people in our community about science and technology.

Why do we need your help?
We are a non-profit organization, therefore we rely on sponsors and people like you who support us. By donating money to our team, you contribute to the success of our year and help make it a better place for everyone. We want to encourage people to learn and to give people the experience of a lifetime, and we can't do it alone.

What we need:
Unfortunately, running a robotics team requires a great deal of resources, including registration fees, tools, parts, travel, and more. Registration fees alone are $7,500 per year!
