Dear Friends,
This fund was set up to help our friend, Laurel and her son, Brian. Brian was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 lymphoma and is undergoing treatments to battle his cancer.
Many of us have known Laurel and her family for years. For those who don't, Laurel is one of the most giving people on this planet. Laurel will help anyone even when it's hard or inconvenient for her. She will help for no other reason than someone needs it. She will help over and over again asking for nothing in return. Being such a helper means that laurel and her family aren't that great at asking for help themselves. So we want to be there for them now by raising money to take some of the burden of treatment and illness off this family.
Brian, who is 25 had just started a new job when he found out about his cancer. He will not be able to work for an indefinite amount of time and could possibly lose his job. The money from this fund will help Brian and his family so they don't have to worry about missed work hours and focus on getting him well. The money will be used for food, cleaning, supplies and whatever would make Brian, Laurel and their family more comfortable.
Laurel has been a mother to many of our kids and treated them like her own. Let's now show her that her kids are loved in the same way by the community Laurel has helped for years. Please give what you can and share this fund with friends.
