Hip shattered, crying out & waiting

August was in agonizing pain, just waiting in a cold cage with no hope.  Desperate for attention, but terrified of the pain that movement and touch caused, little August gave out a mix of purrs, growls and screams at the same time whenever a hand came towards him.  There was very little kind touch because touch meant pain.  We don't know how long August laid there on the streets before he was taken to the Brooklyn ACC, but his shattered hip is an older injury.  We don't know how this tiny 6 pound older kitten survived, but he did, and by some stroke of luck three women came together around a photo and a Facebook post to save this tiny life.

Transport from NY to NJ was rough on August, but he enjoyed the sun streaming into his box.  Arrival to the vet caused more concern, as he needed an FHO surgery, and the orthopedist won't be in for 5 days.  We know August can't wait that long.  He is unable to eat or go to the bathroom without intense pain, and when he tries to move he flops onto his broken hip and gets stuck crying out in intense pain.  Turning him is a terrible ordeal. The surgery August needs can be done immediately at a specialty hospital, but we need your help to make that happen.  Please donate to this sweet baby to help him get the surgery that he needs to relieve his suffering.  August's life is just beginning, and our first promise to him is to end his pain as quickly as we possibly can.
