Marshall Bell's Medical Expenses

*I am Julie Bell Phipps, Marshall's aunt and Carl's sister. The money raised through GoFundMe will be used to help pay for Marshall's medical expenses.
*On January 8, 2016, my 26 year old nephew, Marshall Bell, was struck while on foot by a hit-and-run driver as he crossed a street in Fort Worth, TX. That person has not been apprehended yet! 
*Marshall was in ICU on a ventilator for 7 weeks and eventually released from John Peter Smith Hospital after 3 months of tender care.  Marshall is now a patient at Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation in Dallas.  He has a C1 spinal cord injury and though he has some movement in each limb, he is a quadriplegic.
*Carl, his dad, has been by his side every day and plans for Marshall to live with him in his Arlington home when Marshall is released from rehab this summer.  The funds raised will be used immediately as medical bills have begun to arrive and modifications will be underway soon to ready the house for Marshall's homecoming!
*This has been a long and frightening road.  We give God all the glory for saving Marshall's life and trust that Jesus will direct the uncertain path ahead.  It is my desire to assist in lightening a portion of the financial load by inviting you to be a part of the process.

Marshall is doing so well now as he has regular therapy and continues to gain strength! Carl is his personal caddy and is doing a remarkable job caring for Marshall. We saw Marshall yesterday at Baylor and found him doing VERY well. He ate his lunch independently and even decided to feed Uncle Johnny a few bites to turn the tables a bit! (Picture attached) Thank you for continuing to support Marshall through this fund and assist and encourage Carl as they "walk" this road together. Marshall reported yesterday that he walked 255 steps with the walker last week! Amazing!

Marshall has returned to Baylor Institute for Rehab in Dallas for some intensive work....specifically ....WALKING! He will be there until December 29 while Carl, his father, gets a bit of a recess at home. We are so thankful for the strength that Marshall has gained in the last several months due to his determination and some great in home therapy. May God continue His work in Marshall's life and in his heart!

Marshall took his first steps today! Hallelujah! He was with his incredible physical therapist, Kathy, and Carl, so I know there were at least two witnesses!
I knew you would want to know this miraculous news. I hope to post pictures soon.
