Farley Center Accessibility Lift
The Linda and Gene Farley Center for Peace, Justice, and Sustainability (see farleycenter.org ) is a non-profit community resource located outside of Verona Wisconsin on 43 acres of beautiful farm and wooded land. The Center has a certified organic farm incubator which supports new and immigrant farmers, the Natural Patch Sanctuary which is a green cemetery (see naturalpathsanctuary.org ), and a Peace and Justice facility.
The Farley Center needs your help to make sure our gathering space is available for all members of our community. We would like to purchase a commercial grade lift to access the main level of the Farley Center, which is a wonderful light-filled space and is where we hold our events. Currently it is only accessible by stairs. It is very difficult and dangerous for some of our supporters to walk up and down the stairs and is not accessible by wheelchair. We want to make sure that all of our guests have full access so they can participate in our concerts, potlucks, book discussions, speaker programs, workshops and many other events that are offered at the center. Most of our events, (other than our yearly fundraiser feast) are free and open to everyone.
In the spirit of Linda and Gene Farley, all are always welcome at the Farley Center. All donations, no matter the amount, are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support and we hope that you will come visit us!
