Help Disabled Veteran Gene
Donation protected
Gene needs help! We found him on the street in his wheelchair. Right outside the doors of the Coalition for the Homeless here in Orlando. We learned more of his story. He is a Vietnam Veteran. He lost his leg. He was living in Apopka and became homeless 3 weeks ago when they decided to turn his trailer park into a trash dump. He immediately went to the Coalition. Gene was able to spend a few nights there. But he was quickly discharged because he had trouble to bathe or dress himself. They cannot care for him.
How can we leave a human being, a veteran in our country on the sidewalk right outside our gates? We need to find a safe place for Gene and his wife. While we are searching for a more permanent option, we need to help get Gene and Yvonne off the streets and into a motel with food and supplies. Any amount will help us get this family off the streets and supply them with basic living needs. Please pray for Gene and his immediate and long-term housing needs. Help us get Gene off the streets!
For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger and you invited Me in. Matthew 25:35
*The funds rased here will be used for Gene or similar circumstances to his.
