Billy Franklin Fund

Billy Franklin is the 11 year old son of Travis and Anita Franklin, of Weyburn, Sask. Billy has been struggling for the last several months with many health problems such as dizziness, random bruising, severe headaches, back pain and stomach problems. They have had numerous appointments and ER visits in Weyburn, Regina and Saskatoon, being sent home with diagnoses from an iron deficiency to pschological to "drink more water". After finally getting booked for an MRI, the results showed that he has a condition called Chiari Malformation. It is a condition in which brain tissue extends into your spinal canal. It occurs when part of your skull is abnormally small or misshapen, pressing on your brain and forcing it downward.
Billy needed emergency brain surgery in Saskatoon, on Wednesday, May 18th. Although they found his condition to be worse than they first anticipated, the surgery went well. 
Billy needs another MRI, as through this past week after surgery, he is struggling to maintain his balance and is in severe pain trying to walk more than 2 steps.
Billy has been in Saskatoon University Hospital since May 7th, with Travis and Anita by his side. Billy has 2 sisters at home and 1 brother trying to keep up with the household and farm.  
We can only imagine, besides the worry, stress and sheer exhaustion how financially devastating this can be for them. Let's help ease some of the financial burden for the Franklin family during this difficult time.
