Let's talk about sex. Yes, really, SEX!

Before I continue, let me tell you a little about me.
My name is Ade Anifowose I am Spiritual Healer and Teacher, Life Coach, and Radio Host.
For over 20 years, I have dedicated my life to supporting people on their journey of spiritual empowerment and self-discovery. I have worked with clients on a one to one basis and in virtual sessions, facilitated healing and creative arts workshops as well as interviewed countless thought leaders, experts, healers, teachers, community leaders, etc. on my radio show.
After a life-altering incident last year, I now find myself in a new place and back in my home country. (UK)
Many of you reading this know what I went through last year and what an experience that was! That is why I am excited about this new phase of my life which I call a “date with destiny.” This “date with destiny” has led me to a Certified Sexological Bodyworker training program. This program will afford me the opportunity to support couples, individuals, and groups on their journey of self-discovery, embodied pleasure, and harmonious relationships.
Ok, now back to the conversation about Sex and Sexuality.
I am very aware that sex is a taboo subject for most of us. There are many reasons why we feel uncomfortable when talking about sex and sexuality, but it doesn’t have to be that way. We can create a safe space where there is permission to talk about sex and pleasure without judgment.
Sex and sexuality are gifts from the Divine/God. It is the beginning of each and every one of us. These gifts can bring about procreation, pleasure, fun, creative expression, and spiritual liberation.
WHAT IS A CERTIFIED SEXOLOGICAL BODYWORKER?
“Certified Sexological Bodyworkers (CSB) are professionals supporting individuals, couples and groups to learn to direct their own erotic development, learn about their bodies, sex, and sexuality, or work through sexual issues or concerns.
Certified Sexological Bodyworkers (CSB) are certified sexologists who focus on somatic sex education. CSBs have the scope of practice to include touch in sessions, however, the term “bodywork” in this context refers to the fact that we focus on embodied (somatic) awareness; it does not mean bodywork in the sense of massage. Massage may or may not feature in sessions and massage experience is not a requirement to train. Sessions are client led and can be somatically focussed while including little or no touch.”

I am thrilled about training to be a part of a group of Sexological Bodyworkers who are helping create a world where our sexuality is affirmed and sex is recognized as a sacred spiritual act, thus transforming our current sexually abusive culture to a consent-based culture, resulting in cultivating happy relationships, freedom from shame in the realm of sex and sexuality, and empowered people with the right knowledge about their body and life.
Cultural and religious sexual repression and the confusing relationship our society has with sex and sexuality have contributed to creating a sexually abusive culture. We can change that by informing ourselves with accurate information about sex and sexuality which would lead to the integration of mind and body- living from a place of wholeness.
I am being pulled by a vision and I have said Yes!

After my certification, I plan to work with individuals, couples, and groups. I will also offer community workshops with the intention to make this work more accessible to more people and build connection and community.
