Pan de Vida (Bread of Life) Garden

Pan de Vida means Bread of Life.
We live in a neighborhood south of Phoenix in the San Tan Valley that has been neglected. It's a place where our children go to school without food or food with little nutrition - without pan de vida. It's hard for our little ones to concentrate on their studies so they can succeed some day. Outside of school, they have little to do and it's easy to get into trouble in this area called Little Mexico.
We pray every day for and we are in dire need of a community project that provides a gathering place and a neighborhood focus - a Community Garden that could also provide food for our bodies and minds. We have begun by cleaning up the area. Now, we desire something lasting that can help us progress and pass on a good life to future generations. With the help of ASU students (see https://schoolofsustainability.asu.edu/ )
and LightVox Studio Architectural firm, (see www.lightvoxstudio.com ) we have an architectural plan to build a Community Garden. It will be a place where we can plant, gather and turn into a healthy subsistance for our families. Our constant prayers are for a hand up, not a hand out, to make this Community Garden a reality - we are willing to work hard to till the land, sow the seeds and harvest the crops in order to survive, improve our lives and some day thrive.
We need your help to raise funds to purchase nearby plots of land, materials to build a garden and seeds to plant. Fruits, vegetables, beans and corn could all be grown and put to good use here. We need the funds in June because we have a limited time to obtain the land at a very reasonable rate. Please help us help ourselves produce the Bread of Life. It will make a difference in many young families' lives and even improve the surrounding community. Know that we will be able to live, improve our lives and thrive with your amazing support. We will be eternally grateful!
