Elephant Nature Park Volunteering

In May of 2013, we will be taking 2 weeks to volunteer at the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand. As many of you know, there are only 30,000 Asian elephants left in the world, and too many of these live lives of constant mistreatment by being forced to work in poor conditions, or being paraded around as tourist attractions.
The ENP provides a sanctuary for rescued elephants who were previously abused and neglected, as well as educational programs that cover the northern Thailand area for instruction for the mahouts on proper care and treatment for their elephants.
This is an opportunity that we feel very fortunate to have an chance to participate in, and we decided to run this crowd-funding program to raise funds for the park. Every dollar you donate will go towards the park - anything over our goal will be used to create a donation suitcase for needed materials for the park as well as the local villagers.
