Young Adult Service Corps 2016-17

Hi! My name is Emily Kirk and I have been blessed with the opportunity to spend a year serving as a missionary for the Episcopal Church through the Young Adult Service Corps. (YASC)   A small number of us will each be sent to different Anglican dioceses around the world to work in whatever capacity is needed.  For more information about YASC check out their website here: Episcopal Church-Young Adult Service Corps 

I will be working with the Diocese of Liverpool, in England, specifically with the ministries of Liverpool Cathedral and Liverpool Parish Church.  That's about all I know right now but I am so excited to see where this goes and learn more about what I will exactly be doing!  There is some uncertainty surrounding my placement with YASC, but I know that I am following Gods plan and that I will never be alone.

I want to invite you to join me on this journey! There are two parts to this.  Part of my preparation for this mission is to raise $10,000 to help cover my travel, living expenses, insurance, etc.  That is a lot of money, I know, and I understand that not everyone can contribute this way.  Second, I ask for your prayers and encouragement! I will be surrounded by so much unfamiliarity, and your support will help sustain me, through it all. Let me know if you are joining my journey in this way so that I can pray for you as well!
