Drew Summers Memorial Scholarship

Hello, we are Don & Cornelia Summers. We are the proud parents of Bryce & Drew.
We are setting up this gofundme page in honor of our youngest son Drew.
Drew was 17 and had just finished his junior year of high school. After a baseball tournament out of state, he was killed in a cliff jumping accident. Drew was an avid baseball player. He loved the game. He had played on several traveling teams as well as his school teams. Him and his brother also represented the USA playing as a People To People Sports Ambassador.
We started a scholarship in Drew's name through our local high school. To date we have helped nine young men with their college expenses. The money that is raised through gofundme will help us continue giving out his scholarship. We also raise money for his scholarship through a car and bike show we host every year. Besides being an avid baseball player, Drew loved to show off his 1998 Chevy S-10. His truck was his pride and joy.
We pray that with this scholarship the young men that receive it will continue to give back to their community and that Drew will live on through them in a small way. Since he was not able to fulfill his dream of playing college ball and like most young men, hoping to play professionally. His dream can continue through them.
