MBD Sand Court Volleyball Fund

Hello Friends of Mike's Big Deck,
Thank You in advance for your consideration toward the MBD Sand Court Volleyball Fund.
This fund is to raise money for the purchase and installation of sand on the MBD volleyball court.
As You may know, MBD has been partying in Central Florida since 1996. Swimming, skiing, deck jumping, wakeboarding, floating, dancing, singing, corn holing...and, of course, volleyballing. There has not been a single party in the last few years where the volleyball court has not been in use. Volleybally is as ubiquitous as the Margarita machine at MBD.
Despite its popularity, there is just no comparing the experience of a grass court for those of us who love beach volleyball on a sand court. Last year, we were able to upgrade the court with a 30' light pole for night play, but sand is a one-time hit we simply cannot do alone.
We anticipate the total costs of installing a sand court to be ~$8k, including site work, gravel, and sand ( ~200yd ). We are willing to match each donation to the fund, until the anticipated total is met and begin the conversion without delay afterward.
There are many sand courts around Orlando, so "Why MBD?" You may ask. Most of the sand courts around town are at public parks with restrictions on hours, alcohol, noise, dress code, etc. While MBD is private and there are no guarantees that the facilities will be available forever, anyone who has ever visited has felt our vibe of openness and generosity.
And then there is the lake. The ability to swim, or booze cruise, or simply sit and enjoy the sunset before/during/after a fun session of volleyball among Friends is nothing short of magical.
Thank You once again for visiting our fund...and for those of You who are able to share your generosity by helping us to turn the old grass court into a sandy arena for a drunken horde of volleyball gladiators, we salute You!
