Rezz’s Treatment+Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Our sweet pup Rezz lost her fight with Parvo last night. We weren’t prepared for any of this and are doing our best to cope. We found a place called Pet Reflections that Parks Animal hospital recommended we use to memorialize her. We will get her ashes, imprints of her paws, and a box for the ashes that says “Our Sweet Pup Rezz”. As of right now she is all alone in a freezer awaiting to be cremated once we can afford the cremation and take care of the balance. The balance left over was about $560 to Parks Animal hospital and approximately $250 to Pet Reflections. We want to thank anyone that took time to pray for us, share this, or make a donation. This hasn’t been easy and probably won’t get better for a while.  But having this burden lifted will help us grieve in peace. We just want to have her back to us after cremation.

FINAL UPDATE: it is with heavy and broken heart that we inform everyone and our donors that our sweet pup didn’t make it through the night. Long story short we have an even larger bill/balance than before and have no money left to even have her cremated. We are having them do everything anyways but we will be left will a large balance to pay and no Rezz anymore. We ask for prayers to help us get through this as it has broken us.

UPDATE #4
we just went and visited her at the hospital and her temperature has stabilized which is good but it can change frequently so we are hoping it stays normal. She is also now drinking water on her own. She is extremely depressed however and she won’t look at us directly. She drools from the nausea and vomits every so often but it’s less than before. We are hoping she continues to improve. As for length of treatment we are trying to prepare to keep her 5 days. It’s about $50 a day for keeping her overnight which is a good price considering she is monitored and taken care of properly. We are hoping tonight is a good, calm, and safe night for her. She has 2 other Parvo infected pups keeping her company:) ps: those pups are doing really good with their treatment.

UPDATE #3
we applied for care credit but unfortunately were declined since we are so young and haven’t established credit history. The vet did say that they can take care credit payments from people as a way to donate and cut down the balance if they wish to do so. We’ve found that that will be most helpful to us.  So anyone with care credit that wishes to donate can do so that way. She is staying at Parks Animal Hospital in Provo and her name is Rezz. She’s under my name. We’ve had a few people in here give us life saving advice and walk us through things all night and I am SO grateful to have some of you in our lives. Rezz wouldn’t have lasted the night had we not acted and done the things that were suggested. Thank you to all who have been patient with my lengthy posts. My rescues are my life simply because they all deserved better lives and I will always give them that. Thanks again all❤️

UPDATE #2 ON REZZ:

The doctor came back and told us that she has a super high fever and based on how she’s looking and how her vitals are that it’s not looking very good. We are trying to keep her comfortable and fight this. My fiancé is pregnant and this already is super hard on us and especially her emotionally since she is our 3rd rescue pup we saved from someone.

UPDATE #1
we are at the vet now and she has been getting wonderful help since arrival. Thankfully she tested NEGATIVE for Parvo however that leaves the question of what parasite or virus is doing this. The vet gave us an at home care option (which we want to do since it’s under $300) and is the same as what the vet would do however it’s all administered by me. The other option is hospitalization with the same treatment but under 24/7 care and professional assistance. We are selling some personal belongings to get to the $300 mark so we can come back and pick her up from the vet and take her home to treat her. The issue is we can’t pick her up or treat her until we’ve paid. So we are most likely leaving her over night until we can get the funds to come back and pick her and the treatment kit and pay for everything. This took us by surprise and couldn’t have come at a financially worse time for us. We are stressing but have faith the things will work out. If you can help or keep our little fur family in your prayers we’d appreciate it.

STORY
About 3 days ago we noticed that Rezz started acting unusual and she wouldn’t finish eating and she wasn’t pooping as much. 2 days ago we noticed that she started behaving strange and having solid but a little runny poop. A day later, She began avoiding food later in that evening and refused to eat her dinner. Today (Sunday) she began having very runny but normal colored diarrhea and completely averted food and water. At this point we knew it was something serious and we needed to take her to the vet, however there is only one pet urgent care here in Orem and it is EXTREMELY expensive. We figured we could wait til morning but then she began having bloody diarrhea. At that point I immediately called that urgent care and was told it would be $85 just for her to be seen, $75 for a Parvo test (we are almost certain it’s parvo because she has absolutely every symptom), they want to do xrays which would be another $220, and then feeding tubes and Iv’s so she doesent die from dehydration which would be an additional $110. Now they didn’t even tell me how much it would be to admit her overnight and treat her for the recommended 5+ days but I imagine it’s probably double what the first part was. Regardless, I am willing to pay it myself for my pup. She is my world. However they need all payment up front if she is to be treated for each individual thing and unfortunately for me and my girlfriend Kaylin we don’t have any extra money or really any money at all to cover more that 1/3 of the cost. We plan to go see our old family and trusted vet In the morning because we trust and believe it will cost roughly $200-$300 at most to treat her. We have already spent about $95 dollars trying to treat the different  stymptoms and make her better. We have enough left to have her seen however we have no money to pay the urgent care what they need to treat her immediately. They offer no payment plans or credit options. Everything is due upfront. We plan to stay up all night to continue manually feeding her via syringe so she can stay hydrated and get some nutrients. We don’t expect much to be donated but will be eternally grateful to those who can help. We can provide receipts and such and if whatever is donated that is not used will be split between donors and refunded. Thank you to any and all who are able to help with advice to treat her until she can be seen as well as financial help to ensure she gets all the help she needs. We are also happy to do something special to thank donors!
