My father and best friend, Steve Kelly Sr., tragically lost his life when he was struck by a vehicle on Saturday, May 14, while crossing the street in Brandon, Florida. He suffered significant injuries, including a catastrophic brain injury that, in the end, were just too much to survive. We're all extremely devastated by the unexpected loss, and trying desperately to get through this difficult time.
Anyone who was lucky enough to know my dad knew that he was the most patient and kind-hearted man who could light up a room simply with his presence. He laughed constantly and enjoyed the simple things in life, like antiquing with his wife, golfing with his buddies, and cheering on his favorite Tampa sports teams. But most importantly, he never let a day go by without telling his family that he loved them.
No one ever expects something like this to happen, but with many tragedies, there are unforeseen expenses that quickly mount up. If you would like to help our family get through this difficult time, any and all support would be greatly appreciated.
