24 Hour Paddle for Cancer--Portland

Team Portland (Nattie, Manny, Jason, Brad, Dan and Sallyannne) is happy to represent for our second year for this undertaking of easing the stress of those fighting cancer. Cancer is hard. It doesn't rest and it doesn't play nice. It not only takes its toll on the individual but the family and loved ones involved. Paddling for 24 hours is a piece of cake compared to what cancer fighters and their families have to endure. 

We are not a foundation or a charity. We are a community of paddlers that want to give back.
Our goal is to raise as much money as we can for families arm wrestling with cancer. Every thousand dollars we raise will go straight into an envelope and be given to a family fighting the physically and mentally destroying battle of cancer. Every penny we raise will be going straight to families in the Portland, Oregon area. 

On April 14th our team of 6 paddlers will start paddling on the Willamette River (rain or shine) while other teams all across the United States and Canada paddle on their local waters.. It is not a race. We will be paddling relay style. 2 paddlers will go out and paddle for an hour then the next 2 will go out and we will keep repeating that for 24 hours. We encourage you to come out and paddle with us or just say stop by and say hi.

Last year we filled 5 envelopes, this year we're hoping to fill at least 7. Every donation gets us to our goal and to making life a little less challenging for someone.
