Retired Police K9 Clint's surgery

My retired partner K9 Clint needs a little help!! Clint is a 10 year old, dual purpose German Shepherd. He is trained in Criminal apprehension, article searches, tracking and narcotics detection. Clint is an amazing dog who was always excited to go to work! Those that got the pleasure to work with him quickly recognized his dedication, and will to always be ready for deployment.  Clint had numerous narcotics seizures during his career, conducting searches for the departments Patrol division, Narcotics unit and Federal.  K9 Clint also trained and worked with our departments SWAT team, becoming an asset to the team during high risk operations.  He served his community with total disregard to the wear and tear that canines in his line of work encounter after several years of service. Clint suffered a partial tear in his right knee ligament during a search.  He was treated and returned to full duty, and eventually retired a year later.  Retired life has been great for Clint but his health and comfort is now jeopardized once again.  The right knee has never fully healed and has gotten worse.  A veterinary surgeon has advised me that Clint has a torn cruciate ligament in both knees.  Clint has been compensating for the pain in his right knee by putting all pressure to his left leg, causing the same problem, now to his left knee.  Clint will first have surgery to his right knee followed by a 6 week recovery and then have surgery in his left knee, also following with another 6 week recovery.  This surgery will take place no matter what!! I owe him this!! I don't know how many times his mere presence has ensured for me and my co-workers to get home to our families.  The least I can do is ensure he has a good retirement as he earned it.  The surgeries will cost approximately $6,000 and some recovery expenses after.  I want to aim to get the surgeries accomplished as soon as possible.  Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated.  All money raised will be used solely for Clint's surgeries and recovery.  Again my family and Clint will be forever grateful.
