Time for a Family to Grow and Heal

Isabella, "Bella" is diagnosed with autism, apraxia, and anxiety. She is considered to be nonverbal. She utlizes an AAC device, actions, and sign language. Every year she shows growth with her ability to express herself. She is gifted to be a great communicator without words but actions.
Sometimes I have no idea what Bella wishes.
I do know that Bella would want families to have an opportunity to heal. I do know Bella would want families to have a place to thrive, be understood, and to be loved. I do know that she and I have been touched by our Intergrative Touch for Kids family in unexplainable and extraordinary ways.
Intergrative Touch for Kids (ITK) allows these opportunities to happen not only for our familiy but the growing ITK community throughout the years.
The ulitmate goal of ITK is for families from all around the world to benefit from this program and to continue to develop ways to replicate the model to help it spread beyond the community that has raised it!
Bella and I am honored and proud to be a part of the growing ITK family. This will be the third year for us to go be with our ITK family. The first year we participated as one of the Chicago families and last year as general volunteers to support the growing community of the new family participants. This year we are very excited to get to be a family partipants again for a very special healing retreat.
This retreat is open to any ITK family participants from the last seven retreats to come together to heal and help brainstorm to support the goal of growing this extraordiary community.
This year the Healing Retreat Program, will be holding a Wellness Weekend & Reunion Celebration at Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort in Tuscon, AZ on Saturday July 30 and Sunday July 31, 2016.
We need your help to provide transportation and accomodation costs for us to attend Integrative Touch for Kids Wellness Weekend and Reunion.
The costs are $900 for transportation costs and $500 for hotel accomodations. We would like to have funds raised no later than the middle of June to keep costs of airlines and tickets lowered and hotel accomodations resevered.

ITK Healing Retreats serve as the single largest pediatric integrative medicine program in the country providing more than 100 different integrative healing therapies. Retreats are educational and experiential and serve as a catalyst for change and new possibilities for everyone involved. Children with special medical needs, their primary caregivers and siblings experience integrative healing services and classes, participate in support groups, while connecting with other families and volunteers.
Children and families benefit from the network of support that is created and from the complementary and integrative health therapies that complement conventional medical approaches. Therapies such as massage, meditation, acupuncture, life coaching and others are beneficial in the management of stress, anxiety, and pain, and support healing for the mind, body, heart and spirit.
Help us go to our community and be with our family that has changed our lives and others. Help us grow this community for others to have the opportunity to have this experience.
