24 Year Old Father Shot in the Face

On Sunday, July 2nd at 12:30 AM, Eric Peterson was shot in the face with a shotgun at close range by 44 year-old Carl Russell in a residential area of Sandwich, IL. The two had only met Saturday evening. Eric's girlfriend and 6 month old daughter were witness to the shooting.
When help arrived, Eric was in critical condition. He was airlifted to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL. His condition has remained stable thus far.
Currently he is out from his first surgery and is scheduled for another operation to remove his right eye. Doctors say the left side if his face is likely to remain paralyzed. It is unknown how long he will have to remain hospitalized.
His family desperately needs support and prayers in this trying time. Any amount you can give will help. Money for food, rent, baby supplies, and future medical bills would greatly reduce the strain on this young blossoming family.
