About Me: My name is Andrea Ka and I am graduating from the University of San Francisco. I have been playing tennis since the age of 8, and my passion and love for it has only grown stronger since. Tennis has provided me many opportunities over the years, and I have been incredibly fortunate to have such a supportive family who have enabled me to reach the elite level I find myself at today. However, the professional tour is quite expensive and requires a lot of travel, which can really add up over the course of a year. My goal is to be playing the four grand slams (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, US Open), however in order to do this I must start at the bottom and accumulate enough points to get there. If you help fund my campaign, I promise you I will put in the work to give myself the best chance of attaining my goals and reaching my full potential.

Tennis Highlights:

France: I won the Junior National French Championship in doubles, and I was semi-finalist at the Junior National French Championship in singles.

Cambodia: Having the double citizenship French-Cambodian gave me the opportunity to participate in the SEA Games in 2011 (Indonesia) and in 2015 (Singapore). I also participated in the ASIAN Games in 2014 (South Korea).

Professional tournaments - ITF: I started playing pro tournaments at the age of 16 and reached my highest singles ranking at #766 in the world, and #805 in doubles. I have two doubles titles in 10k (Le Havre, France - Clermont Ferrand, France) I was quarter-finalist in Brussels, Belgium (10k) and Bree, Belgium (10k).

College at USF: All four years at the University of San Francisco, I was a key player on the team. From my freshman year to my senior year I played at the #1 spot in the line up. My freshman year, I was honored WCC Freshman of the Year and named Singles All-WCC first team my four years. Throughout my college career I was constantly ranked among the top 50 players in the nation. I was named WCC singles player of the week on April 16, 2014. I won Battle in the Bay in 2015, in singles and doubles. Most importantly, I led my team to establish the best Division I national ranking (#39) in the University's history

Through my four years at USF I earned many awards for best athlete of the year within my team, and I also received the Dante Benedetti awards, which honor a female student-athlete who serves as an inspiration to their teammates through their unwavering sense of loyalty, self-sacrifice, unselfishness, positive attitude and hard work.

These awards and recognitions exemplify my determination, as well as the hard work I put in when it comes to reaching my goals. Tennis has been such a huge part of my life since I was 8 years old, a passion that has only grown over the years. These past four years at the University of San Francisco helped me develop others skills that will help me on the tour such as time management, responsibility, and commitment.

Financial Responsibilities: My biggest expenses on tour will be flights and hotels, with other expenses such as tournament fees, food while I'm at the tournaments, stringing and clothing. If I were to receive help for all of my expenses (especially hotels and transportation) it would be a great benefit beyond what I can initially expect, and for which I would be eternally grateful. However, at this time, any sort of donation or aid, no matter how small, is significant and certainly greatly appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for those of you who decide to help out, thank you even more!!
