help Louis walk again

Our dachshund Louis could really use your help and support.  

Recently, Louis stopped walking up the stairs, started whining and yelping shortly thereafter. So we rushed him to the emergency vet. Like so many dachshunds, Louis is prone to degenerative disc disease due to genetic breeding, and he is showing classic signs of a ruptured disc (from IVDD).

We are told that surgery will help repair the disc and give him a chance of walking again.

The surgery and the emergency room visits we are told will come to around $6000.00. , beyond what we can afford. The thought of Louis permanently paralyzed breaks my heart.
