Italy Family Earthquake Victims
We had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful town of Pescara del Tronto this May and were so graciously hosted by the relatives of Lindo Rendina. His family was so hospitable and the salt of the earth! They made us all feel instantly welcomed, and loved, in spite of the language barriers. Such a truly loving people who are now suffering through an unimaginable disaster. Some of the beautiful souls we met are no longer with us. Most are homeless, injured and at a loss for how to cope with their future. They have lost everything. The magnitude of their losses cannot be comprehended. One cousin lost both of her parents and her husband. She is in the hospital. One family is homeless spanning three generations. The beautiful and historic town is gone. It's hard to believe that the three homes of families where we were served the best homemade food and wine are no longer standing. Many of the American family members have had the opportunity to enjoy the company of these beautiful people. Everyone here is wondering how to help, who to send money to...so we have created this page to collect funds to help the survivors. I don't even know how much money to set as a goal. Any amount will help. Our hearts are aching and this is the only thing we can do to help fund funerals, purchase food and clothing and help for the many homeless to obtain housing. Thank you for reading this. My name is Lue Ann Pawlick and I live near Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and I am not a family member although I was welcomed as family. I am here to help my boyfriend and his family as they struggle to cope with this tragedy. Please pass this page along to those who you think want to help. Thank you. Once we get a substantial amount donated I will withdraw funds and send to all of the affected families. The campaign will remain open as funds are distributed . Thank you for your generosity - any amount is greatly appreciated! No amount is too small!
ATTENZIONE!!! A BIG SHOUT OUT to every friend and family member who has donated to a most worthy cause. Together we can help our relatives who lost family, their homes and businesses. In times of hardship we can and will rise to the occasion. You are all so AWESOME.
Thanks to everyone here, my wonderful friends, family members and those I've not even met, who have donated funds for or family in Italy. You are angels. The family members there are now aware of the fund and are so so appreciative. As time goes by we are finding out more and absolutely know that every dollar is needed as our relatives will try to heal physically, mentally and spiritually and will begin to rebuild their lives. We are all so appreciative. Bless you all.
