Connor Michael Vickaryous, beloved son, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend, passed away May 3, 2016, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada. He was 22.
Connor was born on November 1, 1993, in Longview, Washington, to Darby and Kevin Vickaryous. He attended Toutle Lake Schools, graduating in 2012, where he pursued his love of sports, lettering in basketball, baseball, football, and track. He went on to graduate from Perry Technical Institute as a certified instrumentation technician and was employed at Sierra Pacific Industries in Quincy, California.
Connor had an exceptional spirit of adventure. He enjoyed skiing and snowboarding, hiking, riding motorcycles, and sharing these experiences with the people he loved. He had a deep love for music, and taught himself to play a variety of instruments. He had an innate ability to make others laugh and found enjoyment in even the smallest moments. Born with a genuine and calming presence, those who got to know him, even if briefly, felt as though they had found a friend.
Connor is survived by his parents, Kevin and Darby Vickaryous, and his older sister, Kayla Vickaryous. He will be missed profoundly by his extended family members, friends, the community of Toutle, and his beloved dog, Sheila.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Connor Vickaryous Memorial Scholarship Fund at Toutle Lake High School.
