Help Save Avondale Pony Club

Avondale Horse and Pony Club is  a non profit organisation and is one of the oldest Pony Clubs in Australia and the oldest still running in the Sydney basin. We have riders aged 8 to 17 years, previous members include olympians Edwina Alexander and Shane Rose, other well known equestrians from our pony club are Tim Boland and Boyd Martin.  (one of our current members is a Paralympian competing at Rio this year).   We are a small club with children that have a huge love for horses. We cater to all abilities and include special needs children into every activity. We foster inclusion acceptance and strive to raise awareness of sportsmanship and citizenship of its members.  As development increases in the Warriewood Valley and Ingleside areas Avondale grounds are essential for our members to ride and develop their horsemanship skills. 


Our club is looking to raise  $5000 to help us cover at least part of our lease that is increasing each year.  

Our aim is to keep the grounds open for local horse riders and dog walkers. Pony Club is a youth centered organization that teaches life skills like leadership, teamwork, responsibility etc, through horses. Our pony club community strives to promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty, thereby cultivating strength of character and self discipline. We need to keep this mission alive for our local children.
