CP Parker Glioblastoma Support Fund
CP Parker is one of those guys that once you meet, he's your friend for life. There's nothing CP wouldn't do for us or our family and that's why we are reaching out to our friends, family, business associates, colleagues to help CP and his family (wife Tami and 15 year old daughter Cameron) in their time of need.
CP is undoubtedly one of the most positive people we know, one that has never met a stranger, always with a smile, and a reassuring way of letting you know everything's going to be ok....maybe even when you're not so sure. 'LIFE IS GOOD' - is his motto. He is a selfless person, who actually put his own life at risk to save a total stranger from drowning, despite his own boat sinking during the rescue. He was awarded the Andrew Carnegie Hero Medal due to his heroic lifesaving efforts!
In April, following a severe headache & passing out while at work, CP was admitted to the ICU for 8 days, as his doctors worked to determine what had happened. Following a brain biopsy, CP was finally diagnosed with a glioblastoma Grade 4 . This is the most aggressive type of malignant brain tumor that exists, and is essentially, life limiting. The family has very limited financial resources, no life insurance, and uncertainties with CP's ability to work and provide for his family's future.
CP has always made it known to us he would do anything for anyone that he could, so we are now asking for help in returning that favor to him. He will undergo brain surgery later this month to remove as much of the tumor as possible, then start radiation and chemotherapy.
Any contribution, regardless of how small, is greatly appreciated to help toward his medical & travel expenses to Duke, where he will receive treatment.
We would like to thank each and every one that makes a contribution to support CP and his family. He has always been there for us and we now must return the favor to him.
