Help the Devastated - Fort McMurray

Many members of our community were touched in some way by the devastation in Fort McMurray.  You many have a husband, a sister or a brother, or maybe a cousin or a  close friend who is from there and dealing with the aftermath of the fires.  One thing we share is that strong  Alberta spirit and desire to help.  This tragic fire caused complete devastation to so many people's lives and, East Elementary wants to do our part to help our school community, family and friends who were affected by this tragedy.
The Red Cross has been doing a wonderful job of collecting donations for displaced families but we thought  perhaps we could assist the charities that call Fort McMurray home such as,  the  Salvation Army, the Boys and Girls club and the Big Sisters and Big Brothers organization in Fort McMurray.   We are a very compasionate group of people here at East Elementary, as is our extended family of parents.  If you would like to join in and help support Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Wood Buffalo, we will have a donation box  in the front of the school for clothes, dry/canned goods and toys.  If you would like to make a monetary donation, this gofund link has been setup for that purpose.  Thank you for supporting this worthwhile cause.
