St. Benedict Respect Life Ministry

$7,000 goal

Campaign created 25 months ago
In February 2011, St. Benedict's Respect Life Ministry began after the approval and support of our pastor, Fr. Stephen Norton.

The Respect Life Ministry's focuses on spreading the message on the Culture of Life and continues to have a Pro-Life presence at our parish, school, and local community.

We mainly try to evanglize by educating fellow parishoners on issues that are contrary to Catholic teaching.

During the month of October (Respect Life Month) we meet and greet parishoners and invite them to participate in our annual Life Chain.

Our presence is important and we hope to continue.  We also hope to broaden our ministry and help to support events in our parish and hopefully our local community.   This includes billboards and/or ads as well as TV commercials.

Hopes & Wonders Never Cease...BUT...we NEED UR HELP!!!

If you wish to make a check payment (where your 100% donation will be used for continuing & creating new hopeful projects) mail it to:

Respect Life month is near its end and we are celebrating the end of our Spiritual Adoption Program. What is Spiritual Adoption? The program can be discribed as a 9 month novena for a newly conceived child. It is believed that during times of prayer the Holy Spirit will reveal the name of this child so that he or she may grow within your heart. The child is never known to you in this world but there have been many amazing stories that say otherwise. Let us continue to be thankful to God everyday even for the tiny estate blessing. Thank you for all your prayers and support. God bless you and... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

We are well a month into the New Year and my resolution is updating our GoFundMe page more often than I have in the past.

Since the last update (September 2016), St. Benedict's Respect Life Ministry has been actively present at our parish throughout the last 4 months.

During Respect Life Month (October) we held our annual LIFE CHAIN. We received many 'thumps up' from locals but we also noticed an increase of individuals who were not so supportive. In the end our annual Life Chain ended successfully as our prayers were a great witness and a testament to LIFE.

As in the past, our Respect Life table was displayed throughout the month. We offered a variety of information about Pregnancy Help, Post Abortive Healing, the Dangers of Contraception, and Euthanasia.

We also featured articles about The Sisters of Life. As mentioned in a previous update we were fortunate to have some of the Sisters of Life take part in past LIFE CHAINS.

The Sisters of Life are a wonderful group of religious nuns who take on an extra vow to CHERISH ALL LIFE. They give love and support to expecting mothers and their families.

Throughout the year, donations of diapers, clothing, and other items we receive are directly given towards the Sisters' ministry.

Happy Sunday Everyone,

This is just a reminder that October is less than 2 weeks away.

As I had previously mentioned...October is Respect Life Month. We will kick off our events on Saturday, October 1. Our Respect Life Table will be displayed throughout the entire month in the church vestibule. If you're in the Bronx stop by our parish and take a look. We have available information and other items that promote and education everyone about the Dignity of Life. One of the many items that are popular (especially with children) are the Precious One Fetal Models. These models are the exact size of a baby at 12 weeks gestation. The look of peoples faces when they consider that they were once that small is amazing. We are so happy to continue reaching out to our parish family and community but in order for us to continue we need your help. Please consider making a donation to our cause. If you see us at our table stop by and say HELLO!!! We would love to get to know you. Thank you and God Bless.

Next Month is an important month for the Respect Life community.

October is Respect Life Month. Throughout the month many parishes and groups will be participating or hosting events to inform the faithful and the public not only on prolife issues but issues that threaten freedom.

We are only 3 weeks from Respect Life Sunday where many LIFE CHAINS will be formed for those who wish to spread the message of life on the streets.

Our ministry is important and we hope you can help.
Since our establishment in 2011 we have been a presence and we are Acommitted in continuing our mission.

We are in need of supplies for Respect Life Month.
Our group is currently in debt and we try to find all possible means to fundraise.

I'm so excited to announce that you can now show your support by purchasing a ST. BENEDICT'S RESPECT LIFE MINISTRY T-shirt.

Please visit:

We hope to sell 50 shirts in the next 23 days to help with our mission. This is a great opportunity for those who haven't given in the past to donate today.

Thank you so much and please you can help by share our GoFundMe and our other fundraising sites onto your newsfeed.

The more we learn about the dignity of life the more we LOVE!!!
