Jordan's Fight Against Leukemia

Donation protected
After losing all of their earthly possessions in a house fire in July 2015 the Cartwright family re-located to Debolt, AB for a fresh start.

After they settled into their new home they got some exciting news—they will be adding one more Cartwright to the family in May of 2016!

But right on the heels of this great news came some very devastating news indeed. On March 14th, 2016; 6 year old Jordan Cartwright was flown to the Stollery Hospital in Edmonton after being taken into the Grande Prairie ER due to a week of fevers, headaches, fatigue, nosebleeds, and coughing up blood. His blood tests immediately showed that he had High Risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Jordan has now been in the hospital for more than 7 weeks with chemo treatments, several blood and platelet transfusions. He will undergo 7 months of consistent chemotherapy where his parents will need to pay for meds that are only 80% covered, and vehicle costs from driving back and forth 800km to the Stollery weekly. He has no immune system due to the chemo and if he has a fever he will have to be rushed to the emergency room immediately or it can be fatal. As if this wasn’t enough, Jordan is also dealing with the awful side effects of the chemotherapy.

Jordan’s Family (Dad-Scotty, Mom-Robyn, older sister-Isabelle and very soon a new brother or sister) are by his side constantly and they need our help! If you are able to help in any way big or small it would be greatly appreciated!
