Our mission is to provide support, education, advocacy, community and outdoor recreations experiences that will foster socialization, independence and a beter quality of life for persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities and their families.
Our Goal is to create a scholarship fund that will financially assist all kids and adults with developmental disabilities such as Autism, Asperger’s, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome who would like an opportunity to go to Courageous Acres .
Courageous Acres offers different programs to choose from based on needs:
Day Camp (Mon-Fri from 9am-3pm): Geared towards the age group of 5-18
Weekend Respite: Gives parents/caregivers a break
Residential (Sun-Fri): Campers age 15 and older stay for the entire week.
The cost for a week of camp for 1 camper is $1400. This cost includes nutritious meals and any special dietary needs, daily scheduled activities and programs, 24 hour on site and on call nursing services, and trained counselors and lifeguards.
A goal of $14,000 would allow 10 campers to go for a week With your help we hope to achieve and surpass the goal of $14,000 to assist as many campers as we can.
