Raise the Roof for Homeless Animals

The Purpose Of The Campaign:

Safe Haven has been leasing a small space at 3600 Velp Ave in Howard, but our lease expires at the end of May, and we've already outgrown our existing facility. We've been searching for a larger, more functional building for several months, but we haven't been able to find anything we can afford. We are reinvigorating our Raise the Roof Capital Building Campaign, so we can purchase, renovate, and maintain a new building that will allow us to continue to grow and serve many more pets and people right here in our local community. The private funds raised in this Go Fund Me campaign will go towards the down payment on a new building!

About Safe Haven:

Safe Haven Humane Society and Outreach Center, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, needs your help! Safe Haven is committed to helping homeless animals in Western Brown County, WI, and our eventual goal is to purchase and renovate a building so we can rehabilitate, house, and adopt out homeless pets who enter our care.

The mission of Safe Haven Humane Society is to provide a loving environment for surrendered and stray animals as they search for their forever homes, assist current pet owners to permanently provide appropriate care for their animals, and engage community members in the issue of pet homelessness.

We are determined to rescue neglected, abused, stray, and surrendered pets; provide them the necessary medical care and behavioral training they need; and rehome them to forever families. In addition to providing housing and services for homeless animals in Northeast Wisconsin, Safe Haven wants to work with struggling pet owners to provide resources to help them keep their pets when the desire and love are there but the knowledge or funds may not be.

Building community awareness about the plight of homeless animals also is a priority for Safe Haven. Educational programming and awareness events will be held regularly in an effort to address the root causes of pet homelessness and stop the cycle of pet neglect, abuse, and abandonment.

THE PLAN:

Safe Haven has kicked off and reinvigorated our "Raise the Roof Capital Building Campaign" and has been pursuing grants, corporate donations, business sponsorships, and individual contributions to bring to fruition our unique and well-rounded vision for a full-service, community-based animal shelter. The Capital Building Campaign is a phased plan to raise the funds necessary to house a variety of homeless pets (dogs of all breeds, cats, and small mammals), a community pet food pantry, and an educational/outreach area. We want our facility to be a true safe haven for the homeless animals who enter our care.

Safe Haven needs your help, we are trying to raise money for the down payment on a future building to make our very own!

Even a small donation would be helping us reach our goal of $25,000 for our down payment. Everyone at Safe Haven and the Safe Haven animals(past, current and future!) would be more than thankful for your donations!

Please visit our website or our Facebook to see some of the amazing events that we have going on and to see updates on our rescued animals that have been adopted into their "furever" homes!
