Welcome to the 2019 Lincoln High School Music Department Music-A-Thon and thank you for your support!
On Friday November 15, the Lincoln High School music department will continuously perform music for 6 hours in order to raise money for the music program. The students are doing this because they love music AND because they need the resources to achieve their goals.
Why Support Cardinal Music?
Music provides a soundtrack to our lives. Music is important to our students, providing both cognitive and social benefits that help students in other aspects of their school work. Music was missing at LHS for years, until the program was revived in 2007. In the intervening years, the program has grown. In 2019, over 250 students participate in the diverse music program supported by two full time faculty. Our programs include:

Concert Band Guitar
Jazz Ensemble Orchestra
Percussion Wind Ensemble

The LHS Music Boosters were established in 2013 to support the vision and music of the Lincoln High School Music program. Fundraisers and donations from family, friends, and neighbors are needed for items like...

Uniforms
Supplemental instructors/accompanists costs
Recognition awards
Entry Fees for Contests
Substitutes for when music classes are at a festival or on a field trip
Equitable access to important musical experiences such as retreats, honor ensembles, and tours
Although the Program receives support from PPS for two faculty positions, all remaining costs are supported through generous contributions from people like you!
An acknowledgement letter will be provided for every gift made. LHS Music donations are through the Friends of Lincoln, a 501(c)(3) public charity. Donations received may be tax deductible. You should consult with your tax advisor accordingly.

HOW CAN I SUPPORT THE LINCOLN MUSIC DEPARTMENT?
1. Donate an amount meaningful to you.
Remember there is virtually no budget from PPS, so you are supporting the basic needs of running a High School music program like TRAVEL TO FESTIVALS, BRINGING IN SPECIALISTS, SUBSIDIES for PERFORMANCE ATTIRE, and SOLO/ENSEMBLE REGISTRATIONS.
2. If you are encouraging a particular student
PLEASE BE SURE TO PUT THE NAME OF THE STUDENT YOU ENCOURAGE IN THE COMMENT BOX!
