2018 Kerala Flood Relief

The College of Engineering Trivandrum Alumni Association of California (CETAA CA) is distressed to hear about the recent devastation left behind by heavy rains and consequent flooding all over Kerala. Latest news reports indicate that over 400 hundred people have lost their lives and over 1 Million have been displaced. Losses from this calamity are reported to be over $3 Billion. Several governmental and volunteer agencies are actively involved in immediate relief efforts on the ground and will need support in many forms. CETAA CA believes the best possible way we can assist immediately is to reach our members and friends to collect monetary donations, and aggregate and forward it to the Chief Minister’s disaster relief fund in Kerala. Members of the CETAA CA board and the CETAA Global Meet 2018 Organizing Committee have pledged to seed this effort at $2000 or above.
