**5/23/16 Edit - We did it! After two hard fought games in Pittsburgh against Beantown (29-8) and the Raleigh Venom (24-15), North Shore is headed to the DI National Championship in Glendale, CO on June 4. Any and all support is appreciated as we make our final push!
Hi North Shore Family!
We are happy to announce that after an undefeated season in the Midwest, North Shore will be headed back to Division I Playoffs! The competition will be held in Pittsburgh, PA on May 21st and 22nd and we could use your help getting there.
We strive to make our team an inclusive environment and offer our players every opportunity to compete at a high level; your donation will help us continue to provide that opportunity. Donations will directly support our travel and lodging expenses at Playoffs (and Nationals!) Any additional funding will be directed toward our mission of growing the sport of rugby at all levels. North Shore is also a 501c3 non-profit organization so all donations are tax deductible. Every little bit helps!
If you’re on the fence about donating, don’t worry, we’ve got something for you. This year we’re going to let YOU, our lovely supporters, challenge us in exchange for your support and we will post the results on social media. For example:
· $1,000 – a current player will get an NS tattoo
· $750 – a current player will shave their head
· $500 – you get your face or another image of your choice on a team t-shirt for the Fall season
· $250 – team interpretive dance to a song of your choice
· $100 – 3-5 NS players will do a dramatic reading of your favorite scene from Shakespeare in a public park (it’s Shakespeare 400! http://www. shakespeare400chicago.com/)
· $75 – Noby will wear a dress to a public place
· $25 – a current player will pull a Rocky and drink 5 raw eggs **5/23/16 EDIT - This is now 2 eggs. If you want to see 5 egg challenge please watch Claire's video on Facebook. If you want 5 eggs feel free to put out an offer!
· $15 – a current player will record 30 seconds of heartfelt lip sync to any Beyonce song
These are just a few suggestions, feel free to get creative! You can challenge the team, a current player, or specific individuals. We of course do reserve the right to turn down any challenge that we cannot or do not wish to perform.
