2 Ladies Need $ to Start Antiracist Small Business

We (Betsy & Yaneis) are starting a diversity, equity & inclusion consulting company called Beyond. We are in need of money for our start up costs.
We've been thinking about this idea for a long time and finally taken the leap to get started. If you know us, you know we both take diversity work to heart and make it a part of our daily lives. After years of running professional development workshops individually in schools, we have realized we're powerful together and that this is our lifelong work. We want to make this work meaningfully ours and take this beyond our own school buildings, beyond education, and into our world that is in need of antiracist leaders. We believe we can be those people, we believe in ourselves, and we hope you do too.
Below is a description of the work we've begun and would like to take to the next level:
At Beyond, we offer a unique diversity, equity and inclusion training model that integrates mindfulness practices in order to facilitate compassionate, transformative workshops. Our workshops begin by fostering compassionate awareness around race, bias, and privilege and then go beyond awareness to examine concrete practices that can be taken to create diverse, inclusive, and flourishing organizations. Participants gain the concrete knowledge and skills needed to achieve equity and inclusion goals within the private sector, nonprofits, and schools while developing mindful awareness. Conversations about racism, sexism and other -isms can be uncomfortable or end without providing the tools to enact change. Facilitators, Yaneis Autumn and Betsy Leach, integrate mindfulness practices into every workshop to shift the paradigm around discomfort and blame to one of compassionate action. They support participants in expanding their capacity to create more successful, inclusive organizations and a better world.
