Mikayla's Mission- YWAM

I am delighted to inform you of my recent acceptance into YWAM's (Youth with a Mission) Discipleship Training School, beginning this coming fall. I am excited for the opportunity to attend my DTS in beautiful Maui, Hawaii. I am having a blessed senior year, but am looking forward to what God has in store for 2013-'14 as I venture into new territory. The DTS is an intensive six-month program that fuels inward transformation and outward application through worship, teachings, prayer, evangelism, service and compassion. The first three months are spent in Maui where I will grow in my faith and in the knowledge of the world around me (along with the bonus of warm sun and sand!). The second three months are spent in Southeast Asia where I will be sharing the truth and love of Jesus Christ with others. I am scheduled to leave in September and will return in March.

While God has opened the door for me to accept this opportunity, I need the support of my friends and family. First off, please keep me in your prayers. I need prayer that God will prepare my heart for this life-changing journey, for the safety and wisdom of the Maui team, and that God may bless our efforts as we minister to the people of Asia. Please also be praying that the financial need will be met. Between working and raising funds, please pray with me for his provision. At this time, I need to raise around $8,500. Whether you feel led to contribute financially, through prayer, or both, any support is much appreciated! I look forward to this incredible experience in Hawaii and Asia and will keep you posted on how God will work through me and this team.
