Not All Heroes Wear Capes...

Not all heroes wear capes… Don't miss this incredible story. It will surely bless you today. Click here  12 years ago, Arquevious “Que” Crane was the star receiver for the South Gwinnett High School football team.  On September 20th, 2007, Que’s life changed forever when he was tackled by the opposing team and didn’t get up.  He was rushed to the hospital and learned that his life would never be the same again.  No one could have imagined that during that tackle Que’s spinal cord was injured at C-5 and C-6, leaving him paralyzed from the chest down.  Que went from an active high school student, to losing the ability to walk in the blink of an eye.  He was now faced with adapting to life as a paralyzed teenager and was feeling hopeless.   Before that devastating injury, Que’s life was hard.  At the age of 12, Que’s mother walked out never to be seen again, leaving his grandmother to raise him.  He battled with depression and self-doubt due to his mother’s absence.  Some of his earliest memories include domestic violence in the home. It has taken untold effort and emotional anguish to adapt to--and ultimately accept--life as a paraplegic.  The road to recovery has been long and agonizing. Most people in Que’s position would have given up but in spite of all of these difficulties, Que was determined to finish high school and get his diploma, which he did. Que went on to become the first man in his family to graduate college. Even in the face of unbelievable setbacks, Que continues to serve the community by helping others.  He has used his life experiences to encourage youth by motivating and inspiring people to overcome adversity. He speaks to students and adults about conquering the obstacles that life will bring. He has truly found his calling in being a motivational speaker.  Listen to Que’s powerful words by clicking the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHBsu42e1K0 Que needs a handicap accessible van.  After purchasing the vehicle, modifications often cost more than $40,000.  With your help, Que will be able to purchase reliable transportation for his needs.  No donation is too small. “I don't want to live in the kind of world where we don't look out for each other. Not just the people that are close to us, but anybody who needs a helping hand. I can’t change the way anybody else thinks, or what they choose to do, but I can do my bit.” ― Charles De Lint Love,  Friends of Que
