Janet’s wig and Cork & Kerry Cancer Care

Donation protected
My mom Janet was diagnosed with High Grade Non-Hodkins Lymphoma Cancer, grade B just over a month ago.  Janet is a nurse for over 20 years now, working at the University Hospital Kerry in Tralee. She has always gone the extra mile for all of her patients and the people around her & now needs your support.  As we get closer to her second treatment of chemo, she has started to lose her hair.  As silly as it might sound, it has a huge impact on her confidence and how she feels, on top of all the other things that come along with chemo... As a single mom, this entire experience is having a huge financial impact on her & a wig is something we can’t afford.

The goal of €2,000 will be divided into two parts, half for her wig & half for the Cork Cancer Care Centre.  This centre provides amazing support to those affected by cancer.  On mom’s first day of treatment, she was given a hand knitted blanket from this group & this really brightened her entire day. It’s the little things that count! This centre provides support in many other different ways also, which is why I feel one thousand euro would go a long way in brightening the days of other Cancer patients.

Since we have more than doubled our goal, we are also going to donate part of it to the Kerry Cancer Support Group.  One thing that stood out for me the most, is their transport service to Cork for treatments.

Your help is greatly appreciated!!
