My name is Kathlyn Jensen and I am a competitive powerlifter from tiny Mayne Island, BC.

I am raising additional funds so that I can attend the 2022 Word Masters Championships for Full Powerlifting.

In 2019/2020, I raised money through GoFundMe so that I could attend the Provincial, Regional and National Bench-Press Championships of the Canadian Powerlifting Union. I was successful at placing First in all of these

I had hoped to go onto the World Championships in 2020, but due to the pandemic they were cancelled

With the time I had during competitions being cancelled, I have added the Deadlift and Squat as lifts.

I have successfully completed at the 2022 Canadian National Championships and am now:

- The Canadian National Champion M4 (70+), 63kg class
- The Canadian record holder for Squat, Bench, Deadlift and Total.

As a result I have been invited to attend the 2022 World Masters Powerlifting Championship in St. John's in October as a member of Team Canada.

I am raising additional money so I can attend the World Masters

However, as an amateur athlete, with limited retirement income, the costs associated with competing at these events are a little daunting and so I am asking for your support.

Your donations will be used for:

- Travel and accommodation expenses to attend meets (costs more to fly to St. John's than to Europe)
- Competition fees

For a total of $2,500 more to raise.

My current Personal Best (in training) is a total of 215kg. These numbers would place me in the top three in the World Championships over the past 5 years. I plan to get to 225kg by the Worlds.

Assisting me with this fundraiser is Dave Ewanchuk, also from tiny Mayne Island. Dave is my Coach and Manager. Funds raised will go into a savings account Dave manages for me related to my Powerlifting competition costs. When funds are required for any of the competition costs listed below, fund will be transferred from this savings account to the relevant entities (airlines, competition organizers, etc.).

All donations will be kept in a specific savings account until required for payment for the above costs.
