Richard Caldwell

My name is Kim Mahoney. Richard's my friend and colleague. I respect him for showing up every day, fighting every day because it would be easy for him not to. Richard Has been an employee of Multicare for nearly 13 years in our main laboratory. He has recently gone through some traumatic events. A recent divorcee, lost a brother, and several injuries. Richard has Cystic Fibrosis, Diabetes and has had some recent stays in the hospital due to his illness. Specifically a fall resulting in a broken jaw and g- tube placement resulting in 5 days in the hospital. His recovery from those took nearly two months and used up all of his PTO and EIT. His attemp to return to work was cut short with a bout of pneumonia. He spent another 5 days in the hospital and was sent home with a PICC (at home IV) and another two weeks of recovery. This entire fiasco has put incredible strain on him physically, emotionally, and financially. His monthly living expenses have gone unpaid due to running out of PTO. Everyone knows the feeling of not being able to keep up with bills and expesnes. Cell phone, groceries, gas, living costs like rent or mortgage, even car insurance. Richard is no exception and now has additional medical expenses heaped onto the already enormous pile. His being out from work for so long has caused many of these to become overdue. He has been out of work for over 2 months and needs help financially.
