Temesgen's Hope

Hello and Welcome to our page!

The little gentlemen you see in the picture is our son Temesgen. He was born in Sodo, Ethiopia and by the grace of God became our son through adoption. The faces you see in the poster he is holding up are important to all of us because it is his birth mom, sisters, and whom we consider our extended family. 

In February 2012 we received heart breaking news that his birth family had been living in extremely poor conditions with no food, sick children, and a house that had weathered away, we knew that God had a great mission for us. That same month Temesgen's Hope was founded and began the journey to restore what had been lost. 

We felt immediately led to build our birth family a new home suitable to live in as the first part of our mission. We were overwhelmed with the support from family and friends, and were blessed with enough funds through our online charity auction to complete the house this past September. Praise God! 

We are now seeking your help as we set out to complete the second half of our mission. My husband Sheldon will be taking time away from his seminary studies and traveling to Ethiopia on Feb 19th for two weeks to oversee the building project and ensure its full completion. We are hoping to raise $5000 to cover his travel and to fully provide our birth family with furniture, livestock, health care, and assess a means for our birth mom to become self sustainable.
