Help To Get Harley A Safe Bed

Hi everyone. We are holding a fundraising event on 24th August at the cross keys in Burnley to help with the costs of a special bed for Harley.
Harley is a 9 year old little boy who has smith magenis syndrome, a condition of which has many characteristics but the biggest factors are self injurious behaviours and disturbed sleep. He will hit himself in the face, bite himself and bang his head off any surface. We try our hardest on a daily basis to help prevent these episodes but we are struggling to find a solution at night.
4 and a half years ago we held a fundraising event and managed to raise enough money to buy Harley a safety sleeper bed. Our life’s changed from the moment the bed arrived. His bed is secure so he cannot get out of it at night which helps to prevent him from hurting himself but as he is getting older and bigger we are finding that he’s outgrowing it now and able to move the bed. As a result of that he’s managed to put his head through his bedroom wall.
We are holding a family fun day with the hope of raising enough money to go towards a bigger and safer bed for him.
On the day there will be plenty of things going on including live singers, a pool tournament, a BBQ, poker tournament, a raffle, tombola, bouncy castle and many more.
Aswell as these activities on the day we also have customers that are being sponsored for numerous things including Becky Hartleys head shave, Aaron Hartleys leg wax and Anthony Inghams chest wax!
Also, on Saturday the 17th August some of our friends Danny Challener, Nik Steven Nicholson and Anthony Ingham will be doing a sponsored walk. They will be starting at the cross keys, walking up Pendle hill and back again.
If anyone can help out in any way possible I would be extremely grateful. Whether it be donating prizes for the raffle, helping out on the day or offering any services that can help raise funds i.e face painting, fun activities for the kids etc.
