My dad has been having some health issues and if you know him then you know that he is a very private and a very proud man. His request is that even though we all know and appreciate the good intentions, he really and truly does not want anyone coming up and asking questions or giving him pity. He just wants to be treated “normal”. Smart ass comments are always welcome and greatly appreciated! :)
For the next 6 months or so, my dad will be fighting hard for his life. We have no choice but to be strong for him. On September 14, 2018 my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He underwent the surgery which was successful! But in April we found out that it metastasized to his lymph nodes, and that it is now stage 4.
Currently my dad is still working, but becoming weak very fast. We are unsure how long he will be able to continue. My mom is unemployed at the moment due to taking care of my dad full time.
My parents are driving to and from Chicago every day for treatment. The out of pocket medical expenses are quickly adding up. Along with vehicle upkeep, gas, tolls, and parking. I’m asking for your help. I know that money can be tight. No donation is too small! If you’re unable to donate then a small prayer is all I ask, along with sharing this account. Everything we can do to surround him with love is what is most important so he can focus on beating this thing.
