Help Anthony Beat Cancer!!

Around 18 months ago, My 30year old big brother, Anthony was diagnosed with epithelioid hemangioendothelioma(Cancer) After going to Bournemouth hospital for a pain in his arm he was sent for scans and MRIs and referred to the The Royal Marsden for a second opinion as the consultant from Bournemouth said its a nerve sheath tumour (which means they involve the coating around nerve fibers that transmit messages to and from the brain and spinal cord). The consultant from The Royal Marsden said he would benefit from going to the Royal National Orthopaedic hospital as he didn’t think it was nerve sheath tumour, as diagnosed by the Bournemouth consultant. After quite a few months of him travelling backwards and forwards to different consultants, they came to the decision and decided to go in and take a look at the tumour, when they had to suddenly stop due to the tissue and area being ill defined. When Anthony came around they explained to him the news and that they needed an open biopsy as a needle would cause to much damage you could see him thinking the worst, while having to tell his wife and 3 children of 11,3 and 7 months. About 2 months later he got a letter that he needed to be in surgery on the 19th of January 2018 which was his daughters 1st birthday which was when he started to feel the strain. Then in February we got the worst news possible, it’s cancer and it’s that rare cancer that your 1 in a million and they don’t know that much information but it has a metastatic rate but unknown and chemo and radiation isn’t an option as it doesn’t work for this type. As you can imagine our world fell apart for our family.Anthony had another operation to get the tumour out but couldn’t get to it all due to a nerve but he was happy with the margins. But lost 25% of his right arm strength, this had a massive impact on his career as he is a roofer but he continued to work as he knew if he stopped working he’d struggle with money and his mental health as he has never stopped working since the age of 16!Life was getting back to “normal” and Anthony and his wife booked a family holiday as a family of five. This year Anthony started a plumbing course to better himself for his family. He hoped no more tablets, so no more feeling like a zombie and no more hospitals! Then on his 3rd 3 months scans (so after 9 months) Anthony’s pain came back with vengeance. Then from the original scan to present day, the full body mri and scans shows the tumour has come back in 3 places.Devastated cannot express how we feel right now we stand, he is awaiting for more scans on the lumps to see the size and is going to get a second opinion. I am starting this go fund me page as he is going to need financial help to get Anthony the treatment and medical attention he is going to need. We are looking into getting a second opinion and other treatments and specialised medication is not available on the NHS. We have no idea how much this will cost until we start. The thought of my nephews and niece not having their dad around is heartbreaking, Gracie has such a special bond with her daddy, Leo and Taylor admire and look up to him as a role model. There is still so much Anthony wants to see and do, first day at school, driving lessons, proms, boys and dads advice, weddings and grandchildren. He is only 30....he still has a good few decades to make fun out of me! Anthony can no longer work due to his circumstances. Those of you who know him will know how hard it was for him to accept the need for help and put this page together with me. Anthony has tortured himself about what people will think or say, he has never asked anyone for help before, he constantly asks himself why would anyone help me? But this isn’t about him, it’s about his children that still need their father for many days, years and decades to come.I know this is a lot to take it, please forward this to all you think can help, love to all that share and help in many ways!Thankyou for your time to read this!
