Give My Mom & Brother A Home

The wonderful people in the photo are my mother, Darla, and my youngest brother, Shane. For the last 2 years, they have been living in garages, motel rooms, attics, and my moms car. When I turned 18, we lost our home to foreclosure and I had to part ways with them so I could continue to have a safe place to live and further my college education. My mother, Darla, has had a very tough journey through life. As of now, her health is not well, and alongside being homeless, she can no longer afford the medications she needs to stay alive. The fact that I can not financially help the people in this world that mean the most to me breaks my heart. My mother has been a victim of domestic violence, assault, harassment, and overall, she has been failed by the system and has not been able to live the life she deserves. She has been a stay at home for 22 years. She has always said her sole purpose for living is to take care of and love her children. As of May, I am a proud graduate of Canisius College. I wouldn’t be who I am today without her. I wish I could give her the world, because she deserves it. But until I can give her everything I hope too, I’m asking for help to raise enough money to buy my mom and brother a trailer home. My family has never been picky and or ungrateful.
