Saving “the CLUB @ WILLOWCREEKMX

Donation protected
I am Sandy and my husband is James,  We are "the Club" @ WillowCreeMx.  We need your help.  We own one (1) machine with 35K hours on it and it is severly broken.  With this machine failure it will be hard for us to keep "the Club" going.

The people that come here know we are not a race track.  We are a practice track.  We do not have events other than Fundraisers, like the "Ride for Haley" a child in our community diagnosed with cancer.    Fundraiser for a local racer "Thad DuVall" to help send him to the ISDE. The Club gave back 100% of all proceeds.   The Club also has an annual Food Drive that is given to an area food pantry and mission.

Not having racing events means we have no way of raising funds  for the track.  The track has not covered its overhead EVER!

In the begining of the season we rent equipment and James redesigns and rebuilds the track and maintains the track throughout the season with our old machine. We do this at a financial loss, but we have kept the club going with money from our retirement for the past 7 years.  Now, we can't afford to continue to do this.

For those who follow us, know James had a massive heart attack 3 years ago  and I have had health issues for the past couple of years and still keep the track going.   Please understand James and my love for all of you.   James has worked the track with an inguinal hernia last season and waited till winter to get it repaired.  Winter came and James cardiologist cancelled the surgery and told James he would have to live with the hernia or possibly die on the  table.   This season  James redesigned the track and began to rebuild adding an Over/Under, 2 half pipes, a rythm section and extended the upper portion of the track and our machine failed.

We ask ourselves "why continue?" neither of us have been able to ride for the past 3 years.  We are in our 60's  with no children and no living family.    Why do it any longer ?  Because the families and riders that come here are truly  family to us now . Also the interaction on Social Media is very rewarding, knowing that what we do here to help promote  the sport and to give back to the dirtbike community is appreciated by so many.

I am hoping for help with purchasing a used track skid steer with air conditioning in decent condition  so James doesn't have to constantly work on it.   And enough to repair our old machine.

Thank You,
Sandy & James
