KAG Computer Project

To all my beauiful people,
We are so blessed to be in this beautiful country Australia, where we have EVERYTHING that we need to live the best life. However, there is a whole other world out there full of humans who lack the most basic needs- food, water, shelter and education. We were born into this life of prosperity. We won a lottery. They were not so lucky.

- 14% of Kenyan women and 6% of men aged 15-49 have experienced sexual violence at least once in their lifetime.
- Students in Years 5-8 and as young as 4 years are consuming hard drugs. I believe in the power of EDUCATION to alleviate the cycle of poverty. If children have the DESIRE to LEARN, they will stay in school. By giving them the gift of education, they will realise their unlimited potential in life. Why resort to crime? Substance abuse? Violence? Sexual violence?

K.A.G Olympic Educational Center in Nairobi, Kenya is a slum school which solely runs by the efforts of volunteers and community efforts.
Every child deserves the right to a HIGH QUALITY EDUCATION. Schools in slums are behind in technology.

As I was planning my lessons at Olympic I struggled to comprehend how they make sense of the world around them without access to computers. This is an essential resource in Australian schools. It is my mission to donate computers for these children. We have the power to plant the seed to create change.
