Brian Etter, Local 1 Plumber’s Finest.

It is with extreme sadness that I report the untimely passing of one of my best friends in the entire Union Building Trades; Mr. BRIAN ETTER of Local 1 Plumbers. Brian has been quietly battling a super aggressive form of lung cancer and unfortunately just succumbed to this horrible disease. He leaves behind a wife (who recently had two brain surgeries also from cancer) and two young sons, both recent Local 1 Plumber apprentices; Sal and David. For those of you that do not know, Brian volunteered down at the World Trade Center pile after the 911 bombing. He was the type of guy who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He looked out for everyone in the business; especially the young guys coming in. He made it a point to teach the young guys his trade and counseled them on how to always be good Union members. Brian was a phenomenal Union man in every way imaginable. Unfortunately, the good always die young. Please show your support for a fellow Union Brother’s family in need. Brian was the kind of guy who unselfishly donated to EVERY Union member in need if he was asked to do so. Let’s return the favor. UNION STRONG. Thank you and God Bless !!
