Summers Walk Ben Nevis

Summer was born in July 2009 with Down Syndrome which was undetected throughout pregnancy. At 6 weeks Summer had a heart scan at Chesterfield Royal Hospital and a hole in the heart was discovered, in January 2010 Summer underwent a 9 hour operation to close the holes to her heart. Over the next few months Summer was monitored very closely through the Nightingale Ward at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. One Sunday morning her parents noticed Summer was not herself and after discovering a rash on her skin she was rushed back to the Nightingale Ward where sadly the following day she lost her life aged just 9 months. 2019 would of been Summer's 10th Birthday and to commemorate her short life and memory her parents (Sharon & Darren) are going to climb Ben Nevis and raise money for the Nightingale Ward
