Buffalo's Junior Roller Derby League Wants to Travel

Donation protected

The Queen City Junior Roller Derby league was founded in the Fall of 2011 and we're proudly rolling into our second season. We consist of 40 young and amazing athletes, a wonderful coaching staff and supportive parents.

We practice every Saturday for two hours from 8-10 in the morning.  We train really hard and are constantly pushing ourselves to be better all while encouraging each other.  When we aren't sweating it out on the track, we love to fund-raise by holding skating parties and selling chocolate and we also like to contribute to our community through volunteer efforts.

We are totally self-sustaining and everything we do relies on our fundraising efforts and the dues we pay each month to play and practice.  We would love new uniforms and to be able to travel by bus as a team when we play games away.  Because there aren't many junior roller derby leagues out there yet-we have to travel to play the leagues we need to play to get ranking in the JRDA (Junior Roller Derby Association).  To be able to travel as a team and look uniform would help us so much to reach our goal of being able to travel and eventually be able to expand our awesome league.
