$1 ADOPTION

Hey! We are Alex and Holly Graham and the most perfect little guy in the photos is our son Jaxson. We adopted Jaxson when he was 6 weeks old. Jaxson has Down syndrome, which is one of the many things that make him so incredibly perfect. He turned our lives upside down literally overnight (he was a 24 hour placement) and has brought us more joy than we could have ever imagined. Our journey hasn't been easy though. Jaxson was born with a major heart defect (which is very common in Down syndrome) and he required open heart surgery at 11 weeks old.  While the heart defect has been the most major of Jaxson's health issues, he still has a small handful more; severe sleep apnea, chronic anemia, and possibly celiacs disease. But we tackle each new issue in stride with a positive outlook. Every single 'issue' is so worth it because Jaxson is seriously the best kiddo ever! and....

We are ready to add to our family and give Jaxson a sibling! We would LOVE to adopt another child with Down syndrome, and are open to both a child with Ds or a typical child. While our hearts and home are ready for another child, adoption is expensive, and as  we have learned, so is raising a child with a disability. While we are so fortunate to live in a country with free healthcare where most of his services are provided to us at no cost, it still seems like there are huge expenses around every single corner. We also strive to give Jaxson the absolute best when it comes to therapies and learning experiences, which means that has to come from our single income pocket. 

It has taken us a LONG time to come to this point but we have resolved ourselves to the fact that we need a bit of financial help to bring another child into our family through adoption. We are asking you for $1 to our campaign. No more, just ONE DOLLAR. While $1 seems like nothing, it is everything to us.
